Since graduating college, I’ve worked in both the government and private sectors, gaining experience in legal, administrative, and policy-focused roles. Throughout these positions, I’ve learned how complex, overwhelming, and inaccessible political information can feel – even for people who work near it every day.
As I prepare to attend law school next year, staying informed has become even more important to me. But I found myself drowning in information, wasting time trying to piece together unbiased updates and reliable summaries. I became obsessed with finding accurate, clear, and comprehensive explanations of what was happening in government – but it often felt impossible to get everything I needed in one place.
I realized if I was struggling to keep up despite my background, others probably were too. That’s why I created I Read Bills (IRB) – to break down legislation, track political action, and provide summaries in a way that helps people feel informed without feeling overwhelmed.
Right now, IRB offers weekly (and soon, daily) text updates that link you to top stories, bill breakdowns, and curated summaries I put together to keep you up to date. I want you to interpret and engage with the information yourself, without noise or confusion.
I believe in transparency: I am heavily against Trump and identify as liberal, and I know my worldview shapes how I see policy. However, my mission with IRB is to deliver clear, sourced summaries so you can make your own interpretations while knowing where I stand.
